Vrindavan

Vrindavana is a place of spirituality associated with Lord Sri Krishna. In the ancient times, this was a forest as mentioned in the famous epic Mahabharata. It is said that Lord Krishna spent the beautiful days of childhood here. Move a distance of ten km from Mathura in order to reach this place. One of the famous temples to visit here is Banke Bihari temple. Among the oldest temples of this place is the Govinda Dev temple constructed in 1590 Ad. Vrindavan is a place of religious heritage and thousands of devotees come to this place to attain the divine blessings of Lord Sri Krishna.

There is a temple of Krishna-Balrama here built by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness [ISKCON]. As per the ancient Indian scriptures, Krishna played in Gokul, the village of cowherds and was raised by the foster parents Nanda and Yashoda. This is the reason why the Lord is called---

YASHODA KA NANDLALA, BRIJ KA UJALA
Meaning Krishna is the son of Yashoda and the light of Brij.
Being in Vrindavana once is life is a dream of devotee of Krishna.
