India is the final destination for the wildlife enthusiasts. The wildlife the environment will miss in other countries, India will provide it all. Not only can the tourist see the wildlife in the country but also the plant life also. There are national parks in India and one can see them in all the four areas of the country. The national parks are the ecological reserves and have a high density of animal and plant life. The famous national parks of Jim Corbett, Ranthambore, Bandhavgarh and Kanha are the acclaimed tiger reserves and the individual gets a splendid feel on seeing the tiger by going for a jeep or elephant safari.

India is one of the few nations of the world to have the Gir reserve also called the Gir national park famous for the population of Asiatic lion coming in the list of the world's extinct species. The Gir national park is a unique reserve for the Asiatic lions and the population exceeds 500 in this park.
Bandhavgarh National Park
Madhya Pradesh is the cradle of heritage and wildlife tourism and the tourist can have the glimpses of rarest of the rare flora and fauna in the belt. One of the natural beauty and ecological attractions of Madhya Pradesh is Bandhavgarh national park. The park has a core area of 105 sq km and the buffer area comprises of 400 sq km.
 
Jim Corbett National Park
When one talks of national parks in India and does not know about Jim Corbett, it can be a joke. Jim Corbett national park, named after the legendary hunter turned environmentalist Jim Corbett, is located in Himalayan foothills of north India. This park was established in the year 1936 as Hailey national park but later converted into Jim Corbett national park.
 
Gir National Park
Gir national park is located in Gujarat and this national park is only among the few of its kind where the environmentalist can find the Asiatic lions in abundance. The environmentalist and the lion lover finds this park covered with the deep forests amazing. The area of the park is 1412 sq km comprising of the deciduous forests.
 
Kanha National Park
Kanha national park is the pride of the national parks in the country and this is also known as the famous Kipling country. The famous Jungle book was based on this park. In the year 1974, this park became the Tiger Reserve. This park is one of the finest hubs of India as far as Barasingha species are concerned.
 
Ranthambore National Park
Ranthambore is a fabulous place for environmentalists and is also known for the famous Ranthambore national park. One can visit this park by moving to the south east part of Rajasthan some 130 km from the city of Jaipur. Formerly the hunting ground for the kings of Jaipur, Ranthambore is a rich tiger reserve.
 
Sariska National Park
Enjoy some golden moments with the environment in the Sariska tiger reserve. Watching the tiger here is an incredible experience. Located in the Aravali hills of Rajasthan, Sariska stands tall for the environmentalist and this park covers an area of 800 sq km. the park is divided into cliffs, deciduous forests, rocky landscapes and grassland making it a hub for a passionate environmentalist.
 
Bandipur National Park
