Akshardham of Delhi is a modern temple of India built in accordance with the Vedic architecture. This temple was constructed without the use of steel. The number of ornate pillars in the temple is two hundred and thirty four. In this temple, the number of carvings is twenty thousand. Constructed with the pink stones and marble, the temple is an abode of peace. It took many years to complete this masterpiece of precision architecture. This is the temple of nine splendid domes and all reflect a beauty par excellence.
This temple has an ornate external wall called the Mandovar. On this are the carved stone sculptures numbering two hundred. One can see the Narayan Pith and this is the masterpiece of bronze architecture. In this temple premises, one can also find the Gajendra peeth. The elephants are carved on the pink stone. They look fabulous. The fact remains that there is a relationship between elephant and man since the existence of these species.
