India Gate is a majestic monument in Delhi and here one can see the famous Amar Jawan jyoti. This is in the memory of the soldiers who died in the war. Designed by Lutyens, the foundation stone of the monument was laid by the Duke of Connaught in the year 1921. During the republic day celebrations on 26 TH January every year, there are many celebrations and displays on the road that leads from Rashtrapati Bhavan to this monument. The road is known as Rajpath.
